    • Where will most convention attendees be staying?
      A block of 122 rooms has been set aside at the Arden Park Hotel. Another block of 50 rooms has been set aside at the Festival Inn, 1144 Ontario Street, Stratford, Ontario, Canada – 2 km east of Arden Park Hotel. Both hotels are owned by the same company. Some attendees may choose to book their stay at one of numerous local Bed and Breakfast homes or in other local motels or hotels in Stratford or nearby.
    • When can I book my accommodation for the 2019 Convention?
      For the Convention Hotels Arden Park and Festival Inn – whenever you wish to make that reservation. For other arrangements such as B&B’s or other hotels and motels, also any time you wish.

    • When will the 2019 District Convention be taking place?
      Pre-Convention-Monday, May 13 – Wednesday, May 15 (LG Training Tues. & Wed.) Main Convention – Thursday, May 16 – Saturday, May 18
    • Where is Stratford?
      The City of Stratford is located in Canada’s Province of Ontario. It is about 90 minutes west of Toronto.
    • Where will the convention be taking place?
      Best Western Plus - The Arden Park Hotel, 552 Ontario Street, Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
    • Will there be a Kiwanis Store?
      The planning team will arrange to have TWO stores: one for on-line ordering and one for on-site purchasing.
    • What is Stratford famous for?
      Stratford is located in a rural agricultural area which has many large dairy herds and pig farms. The land around Stratford is flat. Stratford has many beautiful parks along the Avon River. Stratford is home to the world renowned Stratford Shakespearean Festival of Canada which annually produces at least a dozen plays and musicals in three or four theatres.
    • How Big is Stratford?
      Stratford is a small city of some 32,000 people.

    • Will there be any special transportation available?
      Motor Coaches will operate from Toronto Pearson Airport to Stratford on Wed., May 15th. ($45.00) Motor Coaches will do a return trip to Pearson from Stratford on Sun., May 19th. ($45.00) A shuttle will operate between Festival Inn and Host Hotel/Convention Site Arden Park Hotel. (free) Special transportation will be available from the Arden Park Hotel to the Stratford Festival Theatre for the Host Night Reception and Musical Theatre Production on Saturday, May 18th.
    • How do people get to Stratford?
      By plane: via Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and then by train or highway van; via Hamilton’s or Kitchener’s or London’s International Airports and then by train or highway van. Book flights through your travel agent. For land transportation from Pearson airport to Stratford see below) or through your travel agent if arriving at other airports or if arriving on days other than May 15. By car or bus: if coming from Ontario, Quebec or the Maritimes, often along highway 401 or other superhighways to provincial highways 7 and 8 from Kitchener west to Stratford. There is no regularly scheduled bus service into Stratford. Group charter only. By train: trains arrive from Toronto each day at approx. 1:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; trains arrive from London each day at approx. 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. Passengers can catch a train at Pearson Airport to Toronto’s Union Station and then catch a train to Stratford.
